Lighting Design Dilemma

Large Table Lamp

I just bought a table lamp and it seems too large, although the space calls for larger items. I had a dinky lamp before in the space so I think I just need some time getting used to it. Is there a way using decor to make the lamp appear smaller. I love the lamp and don’t want to send it back.

I think the lamp size is good but I would remove the circle hanging above it and get a silghtly wider shade. I think the shade is a tad too small.

Yes, I agree, the shade is out of scale for the base. It needs to be bigger. I do think the base is a bit large for the width of the table it's on, but not awful. Get a larger shade, take the circle item down and then reassess.
