Some lovely late blooms today! my favorite is Last Chance for Romance. My LC for R shows no chance of blooming yet. Your seedling looks good on rebloom, a nice bonus for you.

Does the seedling have the size of parents NA and Symphony of Praise? The color looks good. Here, neither parent is vigorous, but have beautiful flowers. Lawns are turning brown here.

Mantis - The seedling is not quite as large as either Natalie Antoinette or Symphony of Praise, but it matches the 6.5 inches of Old Time Italian.

Sherry - Did your Last Chance for Romance ever bloom last year? Mine is blooming about four weeks later than normal. That seedling always looks prettier on rebloom than it does on the original scapes.

What a nice shot of Last Chance for Romance. And to be so well budded is a plus-it looks like you will have several days of nice bloom. I lost Autumn Wood to voles this year-my cats could not keep up with grabbing them! They got 3 lilies in the same bed. I always liked the color. Your Picasso’s Intrigue is always so pretty.

Kate - So sorry to read you lost Autumn Wood to the voles. My original one died after that bed became too shady for daylilies. I got a replacement from Nancy a couple of years ago. I liked that one because it always bloomed until very late and would sometimes bud build. Here's a photo of what it looks like when things are not so dry.

Last Chance for dance looks really good. Seemed like any daylilies that had extra tall scapes this year here had extra branching and more buds than ever. I would not have recognized your Autumn Wood. I know we are usually 1 or 2 degrees cooler here, you would not think it would make such a difference in color. Mine has finished blooming now, I should have moved it when I divided it, it is overshadowed by taller daylilies. Picasso's Intrigue has such a nice look.

Sadly, I have yet to see blooms on Last Chance for Romance.

Sherry - I sure hope you get buds on Last Chance this year. Is there any possibility that it's not getting enough sun to bloom. Mine bloomed the first year I got it, but much, much later than I expected. It's always been a wonderful VL here.

What a great shot of Autumn Wood. I've admired it for ages, but never grown it. Sure is pretty.............Thanks so much for Mary's Baby. It's special to me in more ways then one. I hope yours grows better for you. I've sure missed mine............ And as a "back at you" this is some of my last blooms of Dearest Valentine on one of it's rebloom scapes. The color on the rebloom blooms seems to be more pinky and less rose. Has been very good in the colorfast/sunfast department, which as you know is important to me. Very pretty and a credit to your hybridizing efforts:

Picasso's Intrigue is such a pretty one. Old Time Italian x (Natalie Antoinette x Symphony of Praise) is a pretty seedling too. I am still having quite a bit of rebloom and all the rain has to be the reason, I would suppose. Marseille Watercolor put up a couple of really tall rebloom scapes, and they are blooming nicely but I noticed yesterday three more scapes are up on it. Great Aunt Picklebottom have three and several more are still reblooming. It has been another long season and I still have to add things and to learn my way around this new one.

Nice pic of the seedling Old Time Italian x (Natalie Antoinette x Symphony of Praise). Not sure what I think about Picasso's Intrigue. The coloring is so unusual.

Julia - I think you must not be seeing the right colors on Picasso's Intrigue. They are not unusual.

kay - Glad to hear you are getting such terrific rebloom. While you have had plentiful rain, I have not, which makes all my rebloom more mysterioius.

Old Time Italian is very pretty, a bit different color! I couldn't pasta it up. [ouch]
