White grout for all the walls, pale grey for the floors

Thanks for your response. I’ve heard white grout is impossible to keep clean.

I have an all BW bathroom with very light gray grout and yes, impossible to keep clean. The floor is especially difficult.

We used white subway for shower with light grey grout. Mapei frost. It looks great and is not difficult to maintain. Our floor tiles in shower and bathroom are grey so we used grey there too.

White grout is the traditional choice for a black and white bathroom, but if you’re concerned about the grout getting dirty use a light grey on the floors. If you will be putting down a bath mat near the shower and one in front of the sink, that prevents a lot of walking on the tiles. In that case, I would do white all around. I think it will highlight the b&w tiles better.

Thanks that is really helpful and appreciate the color name. It sounds like for small bathrooms it’s best to keep the grout the same color on floor and walls.

Oddly my contractor thinks it’s best to have white grout on the floor because it “looks better”- from what I’ve seen in photos of other projects you totally lose the cool pattern of the hex tile if you use white grout. I found this pic in another post - I believe it is Tek Silverado.

Our bathrooms are identical and am having trouble deciding light or dark grout for the same tiles :)
