Eliminate arched windows

Hello, I am replacing my 1978 aluminum arched windows. I would like to replace the arches with rectangular black aluminum windows. I would also update the exterior siding. I am interested in others opinions on this and if you think architecturally this would work with this semi Spanish style home with a red tile roof? I would also like to know what siding you would recommend. The front of the house is rock with a few areas of stucco but the back is stained cedar. Thanks
