You should be looking at the many threads discussing high quality soil mixes on the Container Gardening forum. Something like the 5-1-1 mix would work well. Ad since this and most other commercial potting mixes are pH buffered, there is little you need to do re: pH going forward. Crape myrtles are not overly particular about pH anyway
