When working with natural stone, always try to use one full slab or sequentially cut slabs with sequential ID numbers,
indicating that they were cut from the same location. If they are cut and labeled sequentially, there should be little
or no color variation.

I thought that is exactly what we did. However, this is what I have.. can you see a noticeable difference?

This is engineered stone, not natural stone. One slab was probably stored outside and one wasn't. Easily noticeable in the picture and a do-over.

Can't believe they went ahead with the install. They had to know that wasn't gonna fly.

Agree sufficiently noticeable in bad lighting to warrant pushing for addressing. Good luck—important to advocate for what you know look should be and knowing what you can and can’t tolerate.

If both pieces are under the same lighting conditions, then yes, the slab colors are noticeably different. Hope you get a new slab and install for free.

On my monitor, the iskand looks white while the counter looks gray.

If all the perameters match and are gray, it could work. Although not what you had in mind.

Those pieces may have been pulled from different lots. I suggest that you google the fabrication and/or training guide for your quartz brand - it is likely that this is addressed. Several that I have read indicate that the slabs should be inspected for color variation before installation. I would push for replacement.
