What type of wood did you use around the columns? Is it a 1x6? Also how did you attach it to the fiberglass columns? Did you use an adhesive?

    We used a PVC trim for the wrap and the polystone columns were split we are in a hurricane area so there is a 4 x 4 inside the column. We also used the Screen Tight system for the screening which works with dimensional material.

    So the PVC trim was scribed to perfectly butt against the wrap? Also, did you use the regular screen tight system or the mini screen tight?

    Can you tell me if you can stain fiberglass columns to look like wood? I love the wood columns but worry about rot.

    It was the regular kind the mall version was not available when this home was built.

    You would have to get someone to faux finish them. I've seen a roller for flat doors that give a grain but not sure it would work on a column. I've seen many faux finished columns.
