August is quite lovely in your garden. I love all the pictures. Lakeside Prophecy is a great plant I love the corrugated leaves. I have a bunch of anemones too! They seem to survive in the most difficult situations. They would take over my yard along with spiderworts if they got the chance.

You're right about carpenter bees (shiny hiney), though I have seen a few bumblebees (fuzzy bottom), too. Blue Tooth does not appear to be a slug magnet at all. Your Summer Lovin is gorgeous; I hope my Summer Breeze looks that pretty one day. Afterglow is not shiny at all and is corrugated; it has the same coloring and shape of your SL.

Thanks! I am pleased with Lakeside Prophecy Fulfilled. This its 3rd or 4th year. It was so tiny when I got it, and it looked awful for 2 years. Funny thing is, I bought the anemones for the reason most people get rid of them. The voles eat my plants so fast, so I plant things that spread quickly.

Thank you, Sherry. I water so much, but I work at least 60 hours per week. I am trying. Here is Afterglow 3 days ago. Great plant, grown in a pot in part sun (afternoon sun).

it's hot and dry here too..I've been using sprinklers and watering cans every day..the forecast says we have another week of the same..

Monkey Business holds the scapes just above or at leaf level per my past 2 years. It is a marvelous plant, a true favorite that does not even look real.

Plum Delicious is wonderful. I carried it home on my lap from Green Hill this spring. I had been eyeing Skywriter online until I saw Plum Delicious in-person. What a lucky find, too! I had ordered Frisian Waving Steel from another vendor, and they sent me a pretty, variegated NOID instead of FWS. By the time I realized that my FWS was not FWS, I had my beloved Plum Delicious!
