Yes, Panicum capillare (Witch Grass), so happy it's a purdy native!

And thanks, I just came up with it on my own. I usually try to add some basic descriptors in the title just to make them less generic.

Sparkler is the perfect common name for it! It evokes such good childhood memories. And it is how people end up planting and nursing weeds. lol!

eta: assuming jinx is correct, it’s also called tickle grass. ;^)
