We are contemplating purchasing a home that has this bathroom layout (mirror image). The length is 10 feet and approx 12 feet wide through the toilet room. I'm not opposed to knocking out wall or stealing space from closet.

Tub has to go and will not be replaced.

Would like sit down vanity.

Was considering removing full toilet wall to 1/2 pony wall, moving shower to linen closet and stealing space from walk in. Put sinks/vanity across shower/tub wall.

Change outside pocket door to real door.

Having the closet through bathroom doesn't bother us, we've had it before and works fine. Generally we have no need to share the bathroom at the same time,

This is single story on slab, freestanding home, Florida.

Thoughts?

Is it more difficult (expensive) to move a shower or a toilet?
