I think there really is no way of knowing for sure until you order. What is is you love about the stuff on the site , it certainly is not cheaper than anyone else . Free shipping does not relate to no duty BTW I like Italian lighting from a reputable dealer in NA not stuff from China if I can avoid it.

ETA: I can’t say about that company in particular, but many scammers are posting very professional looking retail sites, and they steal pictures from authentic sites. They find stock photos of buildings and workers for their websites, too, to seem like a busy, thriving company making all the products. I see it time and time again. Always search for reviews … Trust Pilot, Site Jabber, etc. If there’s a lack of them, that’s a big red flag, as is large price discrepancies between them and real stores.

I see the same thing with bath plumbing that it seems way more expensive than it should be.

This fixture is made of brass , but still..............it does not have to be.

It seems that it is made in some place other than here for the North American market.

Like so many other consumer items it seems that what it comes down to is that you can buy something for about $50 that comes in a box, you put it together, and it wil likely be falling aprart after a time and will always look like something that came in a box. Or, there are insanely expensive things that are maybe made with better quality materials, in this case it is brass. But, to find just a good decent qualtiy product that is basic and made of good basic materials and offers good function is almost impossible.

There seems to be very little common ground in the middle for most of what we are offered at any venue. The same can be applied to everything from coffee makers to plumbing fixtures to vacuums and stovetop ranges.

It used to be more common for a lamp base to be made of brass. I have one sitting righjt here that is a base for a table lamp. My intention is to rewire it make it back into a lamp. It is very heavy. But this was much more common back decades ago to have a brass lamp. I think this one came from hubs Italian grandmother's belongings. She was very decidedly not wealthy, by any means. It was just much more common.

We need consumer goods of some durabilty and some measure of quality and repairabiltiy for the folks. We need the "volks appliance". Decent quality and real durabilty would be welcomed in this throw away market. It does not have to be all that expensive.

I would pay multiple times over the price of a cheap flat pack lamp for one with just a bit of durable qualtiy to it. It does not have to be made of angel wings and precious metals or have the thumprint of a designer on it, just to have some lasting qualtiy and good function would be welcomed.

Some of these things that we buy have one thing on them that goes bad and is not repairable or replaceable and it renders the entire thing to a bit of landifll. I am so tired of having to discard things and chose to live with limits, instead.

IMO 2700 LEDs are not right for bathrooms since it will cast a yelloe glow on the space and IMO not a good idea in a bathroom The buls are replaceable and I would look for ones 4000K and BTW RH for sure at least you know how to talk to someone .
