What else would be being changed?

Eventually, I will change the front door and sideing. Maybe garage doors as well, not sure yet

Black would look good if you lose the black shutters. In fact the shutters should go in general as they should at the very least give the appearance of being sized properly to be functional.

I say keep it white on that style house, I would not go black.

If you were changing more and going for a more modern look, I'd go black. The way it is, they should stay white. I'd probably stay white as it seems more versatile to me.

If you modernized, your brick could play the same role as the orange of the cedar in the pic.

ETA: I'd come up with a long term plan before ordering windows. Even if you can't afford other changes now, get what fits with your long term goals for the exterior.

Remove the too small stick-on shutters.

Igor, my home is very similar to yours and I kept everything white and it looks very nice. White is always in fashion but who really knows about black. Thats the way I looked at it.

Your shutters look ok in my opinion.

@william don't you mind sharing a pic of your home
