Is this creeping mazus?

Im trying to create a thyme garden in between my front gate stepping stones, but this crept up in the last month and is quickly growing at a faster rate than the thyme. My guess is creeping mazus from a google search. Could it be anything else, and will it swallow up the thyme? I don’t mind it bc it flowers but i also want the thyme planted this spring to spread. Location gets full sun from noon until 5 or 6 and is clay soil that goes from very dry to soggy for a day or so after rain. Zone 7A Southeastern PA. Thanks!
