Did the coffee table come with any other pieces in that collection?

Here is an option. https://scandinaviandesigns.com/products/juneau-nest-of-tables?variant=17308326920282&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&adpos=&scid=scplpI35%2AJUN-NEST%2FW&sc_intid=I35%2AJUN-NEST%2FW&gclid=CjwKCAjw1JeJBhB9EiwAV612y-V8eGbd13_87ogerVQsLOpd9Te_1ltcd5SH4CMnGL4r6wFCv9LiThoCOZcQAvD_BwE

I'd do over the coffee table.........: ) Too lightweight for the furnishings

THEN get a side

I agree! the coffee table isn‘t the best for the space. My husband threw away the box before I could return it so I’m stuck with it unless I sell it 😂 love your suggestions!!

By the time you have your remotes, magazines, newspapers, etc on the coffee table it will gain heft.

For a side table, I suggest that you look for an authentic MCM either online or ebay. I found a wonderful MCM chair that way. The patina of old furniture add to the ambience.
