Hi, do you know your hardiness zone and how much sun the area gets? It will help others to make plant recommendations.

I can’t think of a pink short plant that blooms from June to end of summer (none that I know of in my short growing season), but veronicas bloom for a decent time, and if you cut them back, they will rebloom. Echinaceas also have a very long blooming period, and there are shorter varieties that you could use.

No rock as mulch, ever! Please! The best mulch is cypress; it repels insects, degrades slowly and looks natural.

I am in Zone 5. The front faces southeast and gets morning sun, and the side faces southwest and gets afternoon sun.

here is some option for flower bed. I like to use brown bark mulch. It looks not so cheap. You might want to check your local nurseries for plants for your zone.

If you want flowering plants in bloom from June till the end of summer, you're talking annuals, not perennials. There are lots of pink annuals,,,,just check any nursery.

Before even thinking about the plants I would want to widen those skimpy strips into generous beds, delineate the edges with a sharp cut and improve the soil. I would definitely not use rock. Once your beds have some impact, even when empty, you might consider low growing roses for a long show of colour from a permanent planting.

We just finished replacing crappy growing grass with pea gravel leaving perennials where they were and moving all the bulbs to bulb bed It look 10x better than the bad grass which never grew properly with all our big tress The weeding is almost non existant and since it does not break down the weeds have less of a chance to grow down the road. I like mulch but it needs to be repaced and since it breaks down it allows the weeds free rein. I am wondering why just pink BTW the brids will poop seeds into your beds and they will not all be pink flowers. I tried having an all white flower garden and 2 yrs later evenwith a lot of work the volunteer seeds took over and I was back to mixed color landscape. As mentioned pink will drive you into the mix of annuals and perennials . How much work are you willin to put in to have all pink flowers .

rock is a nightmare.. dont use it ... unless you are selling the house..

do not use landscape cloth under whatever you use ....

i agree the beds are not wide enough for much of anything ...

i would also plan on trees in shrubs in what is most likely useless lawn ... unless you play bocci or something ... you can change the whole curb appeal of the house. by NOT limiting yourself to a very few feet on the foundation ...

flower choice is about the tenth decision you need to make.. iif you want to do it right ....

trellises on those post.. with something like clematis would be stunning ...
