IMO In general, only use a mirror if it reflects something interesting. Is it a big room? Is it a small room? Are there high ceilings? What style is the room? There are way too many variables to be able to answer this question in detail. Please provide us with pictures of the entire space. If you are interested in incorporating reflective surfaces, there are a lot of ways to do this in a space (if it goes with your decor) in mirrored lamp bases, mirrored tops of side tables, and mirrored door panels, etc. This is easy to overdo, so be sure to plan the entire room before purchasing anything. Also carefully consider your lighting, as that will have a substantial impact on the room atmosphere as well.
