radon mitigation… is it correct?

I recently bought a home from an estate seller that had completed radon mitigation for a previous buyer (the deal fell through). By the time I bought, the radon level had dropped from a tested 16 to a metered 1.9. So all is well. Except the installer left the work site littered with junk, destroyed shrubs, and — weirdly — an abandoned hole saw. Also abandoned was a long PVC pipe discarded on the ground.

I’m asking whether, from the pictures, the installation looks correct? Is the pipe left on the ground just leftover trash? Should the top of the installed pipe be hooded?

The radon levels are under control now, but thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I guess the pipe and stuff are not needed. I hadn't thought about the open top before. My previous house had a system with an open top and all the pics I see on-line are open. It seems that rain would affect the fan, but I found https://www.lifetimeradonmitigation.com/radon-blog/should-i-have-a-cover-put-on-my-radon-pipe that says it's a bad idea

The vertical pipe is correct. In my area a downspout is used instead of PVC (not combining with a gutter downspout, just using an aluminum 3x4 or 4x5 product to blend in). No cap. You can also put a shroud over the fan.

I do not know what the other 3" PVC coming out the wall is for and what the 3" PVC sitting loose, apparently to sometimes connect to the elbow, would do by extending it over to next to the sillcock.

Idont know why all radon abatement systems are so awful looking. Your house looks wonderful. Paint would reduce the glaring cheap plastic look.

That pipe looks like "trush". But you still need to do a lot of improvements to it. Things need to look better.
