I would just put it against the left hand wall. I would not leave it sticking out in the middle of the room like that.

The only problem about that is It completely blocks the window and doesn’t leave much space for his book shelf

I prefer the last arrangement. Having it open on both sides will certainly make it easier for bedmaking.

Yes. As is the bed should be against a wall.
But what’s the top used for?
Can you separate it and have two beds?

Those bunks look really dangerous, sorry. My son had a bunk bed years ago and we ended up getting rid of them shortly after because I kept catching the boys kept jumping off of it and it made me way too nervous. If you have to keep them I would advise putting them against the wall.

Contrary to what some are saying, you need to be able to circle the bed to change sheets or make up the bed. We have three bunks in a bunkhouse and you don't want to try and make up one that is pushed against a wall. In addition, most restful secure sleep is attained when toes point to the entry door.

This isn’t my house, I was just asking for a friend. The bed does have a latter. It just isn’t on right now since we were moving the bed around the room. No one will be sleeping on the top bunk. The child wanted a bunk bed so his older sisters could join him for movie nights on the weekends. We figured everything out though! Thanks all!
