What you are doing sounds fine. New leaves is a good sign. i don't think you need to worry. Post a photo if you wish.

the first picture here is the roots when i was repotting it because the roots were starting to come above the soil. The second pic is earlier this year but its the same size now just more leaves.

Are you keeping that window blind up so it can get plentyof light?

Yes when it was inside i keep it so the light gets to it. its been outside from april-now in full morning sun and part afternoon sun. also does it look flowering size? i guess theres only one way to find out.

I read here on the amaryllis board a year or so ago that the best formulation for amaryllis fertilizer is what's called "tomato fertilizer," which is a formula recommended by professional growers. Basically, although most of the time bulb-growers (think tulips, daffs, etc) suggest that the middle NPK number, phosphorus, should be the bigger number, with amaryllises it's a larger supply of potassium (K) that really helps.

In the past I used Jack's "Blossom Booster," at 10-30-20. Pretty good, but bulbs still didn't seem to actually bulk up much. Maintenance was the most I could expect. This year I used Jack's Classic Tomato Feed at 12-15-30, and I think *all* my bulbs actually got bigger. When I repot in a couple of weeks I'll know: I made a spreadsheet last year where I recorded the size of each bulb at planting. I'll measure again this year and see what happened. But from the way things look I'd say the tomato fertilizer really worked.
