i dont understand the premise... about drying.. burning and seeds ..

regardless ... tie it up at about one foot... chop off the top 3 feet.. and let it dry.. preferably on top of the burn pile .... and then burn it.. all the better if you do it before seeds mature

and then pull out the rest ...

It will self seed but not a big deal. No drying or burning required.....just pull up any seedlings you don't want in spring. Personally, I wouldn't let it get to the flowering stage. When you see flower buds forming just cut them off before they develop into seeds.

ps: in other words.. make a 3 foot tall Bouquet garni .... thats how i prepped all my refuse for curbside pickup .... back in the day ...
