Do you understand how it's different from the traditional Hardie siding?

I am looking to get feedback if anyone has experience with the v-groove or shiplap. I am hoping to get the pros and cons of what appears to be a newer product for hardieboard.

Aside from the difference in total thickness of the original lap siding to the thicker artisan series, does anyone have any feedback?

Yes! We were suppose to get the Artisan lap siding for our new build. Production was halted and the product was unavailable. This was about 4-6 months ago. Make sure you can even get it before doing more research.

Looking into the Artisan v groove siding as well. Seems the Artisan lap siding has been discontinued hence the halt in production. The only big difference I see between the v groove and shiplap is the size of exposure. About 7 inches v. 9 inches. Based on the size of our house, a ranch style beach house, our architect recommended the v groove, as the size of the shiplap would be overpowering. Good luck!
