Before you tear down any walls, think carefully about whether you would want the bedrooms opening directly off the living space. We lived in a rented house with that configuration and hated it...increased noise in both directions, and reduced privacy for bedrooms.

Maybe you could enlarge the doorways? Or you could put in an interior "window" (no glass), which would increase openness but still keep separation.

The drawing does not enlarge on my screen so maybe post some pics . I happen to like the bedrooms in a separate area . You will also have to know if that long wall is load bearing and what is actully in the wall. In apartments there is often plumbing that runs in the walls to other units . Regardless you need permission to do any real renovation .
