Sorry for the overload of information. I need to decide whether or not to stain my island.

Cupboards will be BM Rushing River. Walls and vent hood will be Chantilly lace. Counter will be Cambria Brittanicca and floors are white washed birch.

The plan is to stain the island and the open shelves next to the vent hood a chocolate brown but now I'm second guessing that. Should I leave them green and do the open shelves in white washed birch to match the floors??

HELP!

*note: I know there are people who are not fans of doing two colours in a kitchen but I love that look. I'm just worried about the brown being too dark.
