^ Just yesterday.

I'm pretty sure it's Liatris spicata. Just was wondering about when it blooms in Texas. The deep south gets a 2 month head start from the north, but there is a time when your late summer and fall flowers do get in sinc with the same species up north . The plants down there adapt to the longer growing season, and have a longer vegetation phase.
