Thank you wdccruise. I've relocated to the eastern CT shoreline area. I would like to have the service of my local appliance dealer and will likely need it due to old appliances, plumbing, and electrical (anticipating install issues so avoiding DIY). I did just check the area BB and the model I want is "not available within 250 miles". Depot is out of stock, I'll look at Lowe's website but had a bad appliance experience with them and had sworn off. My preferred Bosch is a 300 series in white with hidden controls. The intent of this post is to get an idea of wait times which may affect whether I'll settle for a different model.

Thanks again, but the model I want is SHSM63W52N, full stainless interior, third rack, hidden controls. I'm not willing to compromise yet. My big box store installation experience was terrible, so if my wait is "only" two months, I'll go with the local appliance dealer. I just want to know if people are waiting longer than that.

Ha! What timing! I just got delivery of my Bosch dishwasher today. It's my 4th in 3 weeks, because the first 3 were delivered damaged by Costco; I finally gave up on getting a Costco replacement and got one from a different appliance store. I had to "compromise" and get a fancier model, but I'll live with that.

It does depend on what model you want. My first appliance store was giving me a wait of 3 or 4 months, so I went with Costco who had it in stock and delivered it within a week. Sadly, it was damaged in transit, as were the next 2, but they did have them in stock ;) I really liked Costco's honesty on when it would be delivered (some of my friends have ordered from Best Buy or Home Depot and had their promised deliveries delayed by months). The appliance store I finally got mine from in Canadian, so that information will be useless to you. I installed it myself (plugged in, not hard wired).

Following this discussion. Yesterday, I went to my local appliance store for a suite of appliances for a kitchen remodel. The saleswoman said she has seen delivery dates of up to 28 weeks away on Bosch dishwashers. I've got a couple months before I need it, so I'm going to wait a couple weeks to see if supply improves. In the month I've been shopping, I've seen the delay on 48" ranges go from 6 months to 3 months.

Update: Was told by another local appliance store that delivery dates for Bosch DW are 10 months out!!! Everyone is steering me towards KitchenAid or Maytag, unless I'm willing to shell out over $1500.

@Toronto Veterinarian - I haven't seen Bosch DW on Costco.com for months while I was searching (because of how they source from manufacturers, if they show it, they got it). Bosch is not on their website right now even. Maybe it's just available in Canada?

We ended up getting our Bosch from a shady-sounding Amazon company called "A Palace". It was the only one in stock anywhere, which I simply could not believe so I called them and they checked their warehouses and said yes, we've got 4 of them, and they had about 4000+ positive reviews, so I took the chance, and it worked out great. And the price was in line with everyone else with free shipping.

Just an idea. But we were looking for one with front controls because we hate our current one with hidden controls, and Bosch doesn't have many of those.

Maybe, or maybe just in Ontario? It will obviously depend on local supplies. Right now (I just checked) there are about a dozen different models available to be delivered to me within the next 10 days.

We’ve been waiting since spring for our dishwasher and range. Not fun but making it work. I often repurpose my salad bowl as my plate to clean one less dish by hand.

I bought my bosch back in May it popped up on lowes websight one morning so I ordered it. I had been looking several places told me it would be 3-4 months.

I ordered a Bosch 800 on April 4th. Still waiting. My best guess is that if it’s even been made, it’s floating around the Atlantic. Going to bite the bullet and go with a KitchenAid I can get in stock.

I ordered a 500 series, model SHPM65Z52N and the appliance dealer said they just aren't told in advance what they will get until a shipment is scheduled. Even then, they aren't told until last minute exactly what will be in that shipment. The model I chose is white, which is not as popular and the stainless might be easier to get. They implied it could take four months. Friends ordered two 800 series in stainless steel and had no problem getting them a few months ago from this dealer.

The appliance place said that the NC factory where they're made had a number of shut downs due to covid. No mention of shortage of components, so not sure if that is improving or not.

The switch to Dawn Gentle has been a minor improvement but my hands are a mess from washing dishes. I do them as they are used, and it seems not worth it to get the gloves on. I'm rethinking that.

Nothing out of the ordinary. I ordered Stainless steel, hidden control. My guy says the same thing, that they’re not told what’s on the way or what’s on the truck until it arrives. I ordered through an appliance store that deals with contractors. Lowe’s had told me the same as of last week about Bosch.

And actually back in April, Lowe’s told me a Bosch was at least 6-8 months out. Which prompted me to order back then.

Same story for me. Ordered our Bosch DW in May 2021 and was just informed they pushed back my delivery date until April 2022!!!

Megan Krug, can you tell us which model you are waiting for? On another discussion it seemed that the panel ready models had long waits. I'm on the list for a white 500 series, model SHPM65Z52N. I emailed Bosch in Dec and received a lengthy reply, stating that some products have been delayed 8-12 months.

Yep, it's a panel ready Bosch 800 series, model #SHVM78Z53N . After seeing this thread I'm planning to cancel my order and find another.

I'm looking to buy an Asko or Miele but still waiting to hear about their availability and also make sure it will work in the space and panel designed for the Bosch.

Here in Denver, it appears from talking with the two major appliance dealers I always work with, Miele is not currently taking new orders just like Bosch. We went to Thermador which is just as good (IMO- architect) which is "only" an 8-12 week lead time. Made by same company that Bosch is (Bosch bought U.S. Thermador company about 30 years ago). So it has many of same or better features as Bosch and Miele. Just not as many lines (only two). Key feature it does have that is key- Aquastop. And it does have panel ready option for custom front panel to match your cabinetry. Good luck!

I checked in with my appliance dealer today to ask if there is any good news from Bosch. Sadly, the answer wasn't good, and there's no way to know how long before the model I ordered will be sent. I asked if there seemed to be any trend and was told that they seem to be receiving more 300 series than others. They did have a customer who waited 12 months for a Bosch dishwasher.

Not a week after I was told there was no information about my Bosch order (made 12 weeks prior), I was called by the appliance dealer stating it had arrived! It was installed two business days later. It's all too random, but I'm thankful to have it.

I ordered a panel ready bosch 800 series in June 2021. We are using our old dishwasher in the new kitchen so I’m gonna wait it out. (I think) Last I talked to the appliance store they said 2022. Well, its February and i still haven’t heard ……

I guess it depends on where you are located, mostly. Our old dishwasher scared the cat from its bowl. So we ordered it online and received it within 5 days, last month. Oddly enough it was made in February, last year. So there is older stock out there in warehouses. It was a mom and pop shop that sold discounted scratch N dents, which this one looks show room perfect, and tested with full warrenty. Also used a top freight shipper, that was way better than UPS or Fedex at handling shipments. The only thing bad was we were forced into a stainless model. Black and white models were non existent.

I suspect your old bosch was before they introduced the flexible rack system. Anything is an improvement from a 10 year or older Bosch rack. I don't understand about rack tines pointing the wrong way. They are to dictate how the dish and bowls are to point down, towards the water jets. Comparing old Bosch with new is fruitless for others who need info based on new models. There are plenty of makes and models, I chose mine based on consumer reports and ease of maintenance. No more partical grinder, heating element and fancy water jets to cause issues. Simple design that works. Just have to remember the dish angle is reversed from our 20 year old Kitchenaide, that did it all quietly, but had all the troubles with partical grinder, heating element, and lousy racks to mess with.

We ordered our Bosch panel ready almost a year ago and the last update was January, saying expected mid march… here we are mid March…

I used a Bosch SHS843 (serial number 9/2020) several times at a friend's house when helping them move in Oct 2021. It washes/rinses nicely. Drying is adequate (not for plastics). I didn't like the racks.

I tried to buy a Bosch at my preferred appliance store yesterday. Was told 10-14 months out, if then. I bought a KitchenAid on their recommendation. Still a wait, but only 6 weeks. He told me one customer has been waiting 18 months for a pair of Bosch wall ovens. I live in SoCal.

I ordered mine Memorial Day weekend 2021. Was told 6 months. 6 months came and went. Then was told first week of March. Today they told me 6/30/22. I don’t need it right now so I’m ok waiting, I guess. But it’s very frustrating.

My appliance store got tired of my open order (since June 2021) and offered me the panel ready Thermador instead. They had 1 in stock. They said it was a $200 dollar upgrade and would give it to me for the price of the Bocsh I was waiting on! So far I love it!!

My order for a panel ready Bosch 800 series has been open since October 2021. Lack of transparency from Bosch on estimated delivery is very frustrating. Time for me to move on to something different after seeing these comments. My old Bosch wasn’t that great that I am willing to wait indefinnitely.

I have owned a Bosch dishwasher since our first kitchen remodel 15-16 years ago and have loved it. so quiet and cleans well and has never had an issue. Now doing another huge model/addition including enlarging the sink and we definitely want another Bosch. I've talked to three different local appliance stores (family owned) as well as our local Best buy. All of them have told us that stock is very uncertain and that the company is working on already placed orders. They will cocasionally get some units, but have no idea when. Certain fancier or custom models haven't had stock at all for months. They have no idea of when this issue will be resolved. a local appliance store chain got a randome shipment of 200 units of the 500 series wiht hidden controls 2 days ago and today they were already down to only 50 units. We puchased the dishwasher today even though we are months away from needing it!

Finally gave up on my open order for a Bosch Benchmark panel ready. Dealer can keep it if/when it ever arrives. Was able to find an 800 series panel ready on Amazon. Waiting in my garage for installation.

I wasn't on a wait list, just kept texting the appliance dealer about availability since September 2021. Finally in March they had them in stock and delivery is in a few weeks (would have been sooner but this works with my schedule). This is for a Bosch 800.

I ordered my Bosch 800 series dishwasher specifically because of the water protection that it offered. I placed in the order on 7/21/2021. I was told it would take 60 days due to backorders/delays. 60 days came and went - then it was postponed to November 2021. November came and then postponed to February 2022. Now all of this is through the holidays and I paid for the dishwasher in full at the time of the order. So February arrives and now it's postponed to May 2022. In May I check again and the model has been discontinued. Bosch discontinued a model with orders against it since July 2021. It gets better. I am offered the "upgraded model" at no additional cost with the condition that I wait until September 2022. I didn't really have a lot of choices at this point because now all other models had significant backorder. Well as Gomer would say, "Surprise, surprise, surprise" here we are in late September 2022 and I learn that it will be June of 2023. What company does this?

I ordered my Bosch 800 series dishwasher in Sept 2021 and paid in full. It is still not here. My appliance salesperson called me in July and asked if I wanted to switch to a KitchenAid that is in stock. I declined because contractor problems and construction supply delays have resulted in me not needing appliances until December.

We ordered a Bosch 800 series dishwasher in August 2021 from a smaller appliance dealer in the Denver metro area. The model number changed in the interim (original order SHXM78Z55N vs. received SHX878ZD5N), but we finally received the dishwasher in January 2023. Works great despite the agonizing 1.5 year wait. Hoping the supply chain eases up for everyone else still waiting!

Well this thread is disheartening. I've been waiting just over a year for my Bosch 800 series SHXM78Z55N. I was told back in July '22 it would be Feb '23. Considering how long it's taking the retailer to reply to my request for confirmation of Feb delivery, I'm not hopeful. I ordered and put down a deposit mid-Jan of last year.

My appliance dealer called after my email inquiry and "checked their other warehouses to find me one" and in fact did and it is being delivered tomorrow. I'm positive I'd be waiting indefinitely had I not reached out and instead waited for them to contact me. Squeaky wheel...

We never got our 800 series Bosch. We gave up after 18 months of waiting and still no firm date. We ordered a Miele instead and got it in less than a week.

Mine finally arrived. Ordered April 2021, arrived November 2022. Here's the best part. The overall warranty lasts a year. The clock on that year starts ticking at purchase, not delivery. The circuit boards are covered for five and the stainless tub for a lifetime.

The warranty period is over by the time the factory ships what I ordered.

I just remodeled my kitchen. I had a Bosch 800 series dishwasher and loved it. Naturally I wanted the same dishwasher for my new kitchen. I ordered it on January 27th 2022. The new one arrived January 15th 2023. I had ordered all of my appliances early due to supply chain shortages. At the time I ordered the Bosch, I was #1000 on the waiting list. My kitchen was finished about 3 weeks earlier that the arrival of the new Bosch. Fortunately I was able to use my old Bosch in the meantime. It was definitely worth the wait! The new Bosch has a crystal dry setting that dries the dishes even better than my last one. Hopefully by this point, the wait won’t be so long. If you are able to wait it out, you won’t regret it.
