It depends on your way of life, but personally I like the kitchen by the entry way.

What is that front room to the left?? Can you open the wall there at all? That could be a great kitchen / dining space.

(not a pro) I'd layout furniture and cabinets/appliances in both layouts to see which works best. Whichever layout you choose, I'd want to flip the bathroom so that 1) the door is not directly across from the kitchen, and 2) the toilet isn't directly on view from the door. Rough mockup below; the door to the bathroom is more private, and you see the side of the sink rather than the toilet from the door.

some peeps eat to live.. other live to eat.. which are you ... wouldnt that dictate which room should be bigger ... i guess that the same as rachel said above.. whats your lifestyle ....

and it begs the question.. will you be entertaining in the kitchen.. or would you prefer to entertain in front of the big tv with buds for say a football game ...

but i dont understand from the drawings.. where the balcony is .... and where is the dining table or where ever you would eat ....??? .. it seems its either a dining room or living room that you are trying to figure out ...

where is this ... big city name .... can the balcony be the eating area year around???

and where do the stairs go .... is there another level.. or is that access ...

finally.. my daughter is into these tiny house shows... is this what this is... im presuming the measurements are metric.. but this is rather small ... perhaps if you explain the concept ... it will help us understand ...

Is this a remodel? Can plumbing go anywhere? I assume the column needs to stay, but can the second BR go in the back, with access to the balcony from each BR? Kitchen/dining/living would be one large room off the entry. I didn't change the bathroom, but I like chicagoans' idea:

Table, chairs, and cart could be on castors, so could easily be rearranged according to entertainment needs--

Hi Mama goose this is impressive !!! Unfortunately we cannot take down walls, it’s a new construction, the connections for the kitchen are in the wall next to balcony and we were considering adding them next to entryway in case this was a good idea. However I have tried to see the results with some easy configurator (ikea nothing fancy ) and if I put the kitchen at the entry the place will look all kitchen and no living :( so I am afraid I will keep it as per original plan next to the balcony, I just need to figure out how to style the open space and try to define the living area. Not easy with small spaces ;)

Hi Ken ! Sorry for disappointing about the house plants ! Indeed this in meters. The balcony is right here and this the way it will remain with the kitchen next to it. The status take to the garage, I wish I had a 2 floors house! This is a tiny place, we need to make it work ;)
