Very clever indeed. I am fortunate to have ”free“ earlobes. I have wondered how prople with attached earlobes have managed masks that loop anound the ears.

That is much more elegant than the paperclip I used last time! Either my ears are in the wrong place or my face is, but I haven't been able to get any masks to fit my ears.

The masks I've made go behind the head (although one could retie the elastic to go around the ears). It may muss the hair but it's much more secure and comfortable and my family still has normal ears. :)

I had buttons on one of my caps for a while, but I found the elastic still bothered my ears after wearing for several hours, so I took them off.

Anyone else googling ”free earlobes”?

No - but my niece has such teeny tiny earlobes, she had a hard time getting her ears pierced 😄

That's a cute idea...and an ear saver!

The ear saver that Dr Ebonie Vincent (TLC My Feet are Killing Me) wears, looks like it positions the mask and keeps it good and tight. She's what sent me looking for the ear savers that I posted. I still haven't purchased any. Guess I could be smart like some people and make my own! NICELY done.

My dad has a custom made mask with a Velcro strap around the back of his head (glasses, hearing aids, grumpyoldmanism).

I really think my mom overthought it. Cuz elastic is pretty good!

I crocheted a strip about 3" long x 1" and sewed buttons on the ends, for the back of the head, way back when masks became mandatory

I have one that had wide sides and connected to velcro bands so it never goes near your ears but behind your head. It stays on so well.
