I just purchased French doors for my office. They are 10 Lite door and will arrive to me ready for stain. These are FIR doors. Any advice on what I may expect from the factory? I’m guessing I will need to sand before I begin staining but anyone have advice on the process of staining? I would love to stain a dark brown, the stain color “Provencial” is also nice. I’m going to work on this by myself so I’m unsure if I need to precondition the wood before staining. I’m almost thinking I should probably just have someone who is a pro do it, but I’m up for the challenge. Would this be an easy project? Any advice, links, or resources are welcomed and appreciated!
