Start checking for Amish cabinetmakers.

You know, I have done that but i don't really like the process of doing it so remotely. I want someone who can come to my house and measure and present me with a design. When I spoke to everyone in PA, they weren't prepared to do that.

Ask around locally about Amish cabinet makers. My SIL had hers custom built by an Amish guy, he came to the house and measured everything and did the complete install; she just had to make a drive to his shop to look at his wood and stain options. He did not design the layout, though -- they paid a designer for that.

To be fair...when I say mid-range...I am talking about the same price range as Devol and Plain English. I don't see Plain English as uber high end, based on their pricing. Design-wise, yes. But you can get a whole kitchen done for about $60k, which is technically mid-range...

RMS2021, we are looking for a similar product, also in the DC area. We are newbies in the cabinet area. Could I ask, why are you not looking to go with DeVOL itself? I see they have a NYC location. Is it cost prohibitive?

Did you ever find a high quality custom cabinetry co in the area? I’m having the same trouble sourcing. Thanks!
