where are you.. big city name ... in my MI ... BFs are almost on the way home.. its a bit late blooming .. to be a great BF feeder ....presuming the pic is today ... but of course.. its better than nothing ... and if you are on the course from my house to mexico.. then it would be great ...

get a close pic of the flowers.. and a few leaves ... and a scale if you go all macro on the close up ...

I’ve never seen Button Bush in the flesh but the foliage arrangement and shape and the flowers don’t look like it to me. What would you say to Melanthera nivea?

That's it! Melanthera nivea. This came up accidentally in my garden. I'm going to let it grow. I have seen some pollinators visiting it. It looks very healthy and hardy--like a very big weed.

I have a very large butterfly/hummingbird garden. This is a welcome new plant for the butterflies and other pollinators.

Good news, it's FL native.
