What about removing (Maybe you can use it as flooring - I would have no idea if you can, just think that’d be cool! )
And either drywall, wallpaper the walls. Otherwise you can do a white tongue and groove.

I would not paint the walls but would paint your white door a wood colored paint so it does not contrast so greatly with the walls. Add a great old Oriental rug to the floor to add color and pattern and thereby soften the effect of all that wood. Add also some colorful art; the black and white sign are out of place here.

I agree completely with threers. Love the walls. Paint the door.

And replace the ceiling fixture! The walls are pretty as is. Can you get an outlet cover that is close to the wall color, or paint the one you have. Agree with threers about changing the wall art.

I wouldn't touch the pine, but you've gotten some good suggestions for introducing some color. A rug, new light fixture. I love your counter height chairs, but that could be a good place to introduce color in painted not-more-wood chairs. I can't really see the seating other than a dark leather piece and the edge of what may be a brown leather sofa. And, I can't tell how new to know if you might be willing to replace with something of color there?
