Zline Oven not working

I have had my Zline in use for a couple of months. When I try to preheat it, it has take up to an hour. It will never get to temp if I put it on convection. When I made cookies they were supposed to take 11 minutes and took 25. Depending on the setting, some will be burnt and some raw after the recommended cooking time. There is no even cooking on the convection setting at all. I have contacted zline several times and they eventually get back with me via email and ask me to troubleshoot it. I have and it passes those tests. I can't get a live person on the phone after numerous attempts. I really need them to send someone to come and look at it. I had it professionally installed. This over was a huge splurge for me. I absolutely LOVE to cook but now nothing I make comes out right. 😭 I can't even make a can of biscuits. I have all this money invested in a piece of art at this point. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have watched numerous YouTube videos on how to preheat it, then change settings etc. Thank you!

We need in on this recall. 3 ovens in and none of them have worked. The last oven they sent, they pretty much said that if it doesn't work, sorry but we are done trying. Anything I bake has to be constantly rotated so it isn't raw and burnt at the same time. Opening the door all the time isn't helpful on the poor temp regulation it has either.

Has anyone had any progress on this? We literally have the same issue... there is nobody local who can work on the oven where I live, and the replacement part is still out of stock despite assurances it would be stocked on December 22, 2023. Obviously this is a problem, as last week there were seven review on the replacement part, all stating that they're waiting on the same part, stating frustration that there are so many people in need of this out of stock item, and frustration that zline has not issued a recall or made any effort to remedy the situation. (Although in checking today, it appears as though the reviews have been removed from the zlineparts website.) I have never had an issue with any range/oven I've had over the years and yet have had nothing but issues with this one, which I bought new, and I've had it less than three years. I did create a case number, which they responded to quickly... yet they just told me the new date for stocking the part is January 5, 2024, followed up with the statement that said date is "subject to change". Shocker... it's still not in stock today, January 5. Where is the accountability from Zline??

Last night was the straw in trying to have patience with my ZLine RA36. After 3 hours of trying to cook a dish on all of the oven settings I could literally pull the pan out with my hands, no protection needed. I have noticed that Ithe oven door does not seal, leaking hot air out so warm that it heats the kitchen up and a fan is needed to cool. Since day one it has cooked uneven. I went against my husband and bought this beautiful piece and right now I am regretting the 3K and the hate the beginning of "I told you not to do it". I can see from all these comments that this will be a long journey. I really just want it picked up and my money refunded.

My heating indicator light was the first thing to stop working. Then the bottom heating element. When this happened I called Zline and was on hold for hours, then I tried the callback feature, but never got a call back even weeks later. I tried calling again and was in a queue and as soon as I got to the next person I was told by an automated voice their representatives were busy helping others and to email them; and then I was disconnected. I continued to wait for my call back and now the top heating element does not work and some of the fans do not seem to turn on either. Too expensive to not work. I have finally submitted an email with my model number (did not seem where to send an email for the longest time) and have a case number, but I am not going to hold my breath for an actual fix.

Purchased a whole kitchen of Zline appliances, biggest mistake of my whole house renovation. Customer service is HORRIBLE!! The customer service number is a waste of time as I was told by one of their reps that they had 900 calls in queue with 15 reps. My refrigerator stopped working less than 6 months of install and finally had to purchase another brand refrigerator 2 months later since they couldn’t get me one within a reasonable amount of time. My double oven is now having trouble keeping heat and won’t go above 300. I have no idea what to do at this point. I emailed the president in hopes of some response but as expected, this didn’t happen. I heard someone mention a class action suit against Zline, if you have this information, lease let me know. They are now deleting all negative comments on Facebook because they were being inundated with dissatisfied customers. Hhmmm

I finally got so insanely tired of them and their smoke and mirror show that we went through our credit card company. thank goodness we put our appliances on a card and the card offered extended warranty. we had 2 sep people come out (one was sent by zline) and they told us the new hinges and new heating element would not fix it (duh) and it was the cicruit board- and the fact that they are just made like crap. im thankful we have settled it, zero help from zline- and we can move on with a different brand. i NEVER want to hear the name zline again.

How does ZLine and such great reviews on all the sites like Home Depot and Lowe’s? Fake reviews?

We received a brand new replacement oven, SGR 30” all gas oven. We had to recut our cabinets, recut our counter tops to accommadate the different dimensions from the RG30 that was recalled which cost us ALOT of money. We finally had the new oven installed and we used it for the first time yesterday. The oven temperature is 50 degrees off. we followed the directions and preheated the oven for 30 minutes but the oven was still 50 degrees less than what we set it for: we set the bake at 400 and it never heated past 350. We then decided to try again today, and we set the oven temperature at 350 and the oven never heated past 300. The experience with these Zline ovens have been a nightmare. Does anyone know how to calibrate this oven to achieve the correct temperture? Did you hire an appliance repairman? Never buy a Zline product! The old recalled RG30 was a nightmare also.

    Zline case # 00723508 4/4/24 @ 11:55am

RG30 oven owner two years this summer. Oven is now 50 degrees off. I used two different oven thermometers to confirm. I have reached out to find out how to calibrate the oven because it appears the only way it's going to happen is if I do it myself. Never got a reply. Heating within the oven is uneven although the convection fans (which do NOT turn off) are running. Some baked goods get close to burning and others are raw in the middle. Have been through TWO carbon dioxide warnings with this oven. The first time the parts that needed replacing arrived in about a month and then another month until a tech came out to install them. I never heard anything from Zline after the second time when the Sears tech left after checking for CO2. His last words were, "I'll send these results back to Zline and they will be in touch". That was three months ago.

Zline, get your stuff together! I tell anyone looking at your products "buyer beware". I can't think of a purchase I've made in my entire life that I regret as much as this purchase.

My electric oven is currently set at 350F and the temp has fluctuated from 330-414. It is currently continuing to heat well above and below the required temp,

much like everywhere I've read online. I had a repair company come out and recommend that I replace 3 components, which I did at my own expense, even after contacting Zline for the 2nd time regarding this issue. Now, my oven doesn't maintain temp, and my cooling fan doesn't work as required, and they won't offer a refund for the parts that didn't work. We spent thousands on this range and have never been more disappointed in an appliance. I am a home chef and literally cannot use my oven to bake anything that requires consistent heat, everything is terrible. So much for a "professional" appliance.

Biggest and only regret of our new build is the Zline appliances in our kitchen. I’m ready to throw them all out (less than 1 year old) and splurge on Thermador or Wolf. Worst part: recall repair man confirmed my suspicions and said my $7000 48” range “is pretty to look at, but a piece of junk.”. Second worst part of all this is not hearing the end of it from my husband!

This is exactly what's happening to me. I wish I had come across these reviews earlier... it has never heated properly from day 1. Gotten worse and worse (although several repair attempts have been made, the tech always says it "works fine"). Last week it stopped heating altogether (several times - it used to fail once or twice but then kick on when it felt like it). Because I'm now out of warranty, they aren't going to help me.

  • last year

This is exactly what is happening to us. I'm so bummed I didn't see this thread before buying. The oven has never heated properly from the day it was installed, and it's just gotten worse and worse. Unreliable heating, uneven heating, and sometimes just refusing to heat at all. Tech has been out multiple times but concluded "it's fine". Zline sent some replacement parts in case they'd help, but that did nothing. Last week it stopped heating altogether. I called a local repair guy and turns out, it needs a new thermostat. I've used it a little over a year at this point. Because I'm not out of warranty, Zline isn't going to help. Super disappointing.

Update: Zline replaced the entire range. However, we were on the hook for paying to uninstall and re-install the new oven ( $700). And (shocker) the new oven has a door that does not close properly, seal is completely ripped, and doesn't heat (I can get it to about 200*F only). DO NOT BUY FROM ZLINE. JUST DON'T DO IT.

purchased a zline oven last year, was notified of a recall so we agreed to exchange our oven (which we were not experiencing any issues). for a new and updated z line oven . since than we are on our second replacement!! the stove when it is igniting make a loud poofing noise, same sound as a gas grill when lighting it with a match! we notified z line we had to take videos and pictures and email to the company , then we were told we needed our gas company to verify it was actually the stove, well he came and we had a gas leak and the gas company shut the gas off! we sent that paperwork of proof and they sent our second replacement and this one is even worse, again had to send pictures videos and was told a repair service will come( company is not local so they had to find someone who would do 3rd party service). He tried to do the best but it’s having the same issues. We made zline aware of situlation and made them aware we cant keep eating out and have plumbers come over to shut off and turn on gas, we have been charged each time for this, I made the company aware i do not feel safe with using this stove in my home and i need a stove with the holidays coming and i want a refund, their resonse is a pro rated refund! i seriously cant believe this! i have 2 non working stoves sitting in my house and whats worst we purchased a fridge and microwave to match. we were fools dont you be!!! z line i want my money so i can purchase a working oven without fear my home is gonna blow!!!

Our dual fuel ZLINE glass oven door exploded within 2 months of owning it. The oven also never got to temp, and took twice as long to bake anything. Now two and a half years of putting up with that, both upper and lower oven elements have stopped heating. The bottom heating element burnt off the wiring in the back! So dangerous. So we Replaced the 100.00 elements, and it did not fix a thing. These are junk and need to be recalled right along with their Gas and wall ovens.

I purchased a ZLine 36-inch mixed fuel gas range (we have propane) in 2022. This review was written in May 2025. We purchased the range during the COVID era when it was difficult to get appliances. At the time the range cost $3,899.95 from Lowes. Obviously, this is not a cheap range. For a range that costs thousands of dollars I expect decent quality.

Unfortunately, the quality is not there when it comes to ZLine. This range has an electric oven, although it has a gas cooktop. The oven stopped working after three years. The oven light and the fan turn on, but the elements don't heat.

Fortunately, we purchased the extended warranty for the range. I've been notified that the warranty company considers this unrepairable and they are going to refund our money. I find it remarkable that an electric oven failure can't be fixed.

A huge problem with ZLine is that it is nearly impossible to get the range serviced. I have called several appliance repair companies, and none of them service ZLine.

The range looks great and it costs less than ranges like Wolf or Viking. But my advice is don't buy anything from Zline since you can't get it serviced. If you have to buy a ZLine appliance, make sure that you get the extended warranty. Of course the warranty only lasts five years (in my case) and if it fails after that, you're out of luck with a range that can't be serviced.

I have to give z-line credit for the look. These appliances are beautiful. My wife and I bought the whole package, oven/range, microwave, dishwasher. Since we got them the diswasher and the oven have never worked. I have tried numerous times to get some help, get a repair person etc. Our oven was recalled. they sent a new part. The new oven does not work. Same issue on taking forever to get to temp, uneven cooking- we are demoralized. My wife is an artist and studied design at NCSU and she was so happy to see these! Well we have been in hell for quite some time and I do nto know what to do. I love hand washing all of our stuff each meal but looking lovingly at a georgous piece of art installaton by Z-Line. We can use the oven at all. I guess at least we dont have to clean it... My kids are very skinny now... We will never buy this line again... very sad

I’m in the same situation with the duel fuel 30” oven bottom element and wiring burnt after just a few uses. I ordered the updated replacement kit, but I’m skeptical that this is a long term fix. Are the components high temperature terminations and wire?
Seems like a design change is needed and a retrofit solution should be provided to consumers. The replacement kit and labor are an expensive repair for a range that is relatively new.

We are on our second gas range after the first was recalled and discontinued due to carbon monoxide issues (oven was replaced with a different model). Zline sent us a new thermostat that cost us $350 in labor to replace. now oven heats up the first time but it cools and wont come back up to temperature. Zline has offered to send more parts if we figure out what is wrong with it. That is unhelpful. Zline needs to stand behind its product.

    DO NOT BUY!!

I will be limping my way thru the holidays and then replacing with a different brand as soon as we can afford to. So upsetting to have a renovated kitchen with an oven that is basically a paperweight.
