Very pretty - you just need finishing touches - drapery panels, toss cushions a few key accessories, your bedside lamps are too petite for the bed, should be weightier. Decide on a style (modern versus country versus traditional) And choose your inspiration point in a fabric that you love the colours, pattern and texture. Then hire a drapery company or a good interior designer to help you finish this room off with proper drapery, art and toss cushions - or, you can try it yourself, find your inspiration fabric - and repost. A great affordable option is using fabric with a sewn in rod pocket on top and simply adding thin drapery rods on all four sides of bed. The fabric at the head of bed can be left closed and then at the sides and foot of bed adjust as needed.

These photographs were taken a decade and a half ago with a poor camera and harsh lighting in the case of a few of them. I should set the bed up again and get some better photography. It stands at 9.5 feet tall, and hence my having to set it up out of doors, for I've not yet acquired my vaulted ceiling home to set it up in. The bed is made of Cherry, and its canopy is patterned after elements I found in pioneer architecture in the state of Utah where I grew up. The Rosette's on the crown molding were somewhat inspired by the rosettes I saw in the Provo, Utah, LDS Tabernacle, built in the pioneer era predating power tools, it was recently burned and destroyed by fire. Here is a pic of some of that woodworking in the tabernacle that would have held my attention as a youngster when I sat therein listening to what for me would have most of the time been boring speakers.

A bed with four posts that have rails connecting each post. I can easily make drapery curtains to hang, but am perplexed about the top, what you would look up at. I was going to ask a company that makes window treatments, but since I sew I wondered how this is done. Thank you.
