I wish I could share a bit of our rain with you. The water in my basement should be enough to soak the whole state of CA! I just discovered a broken down spout in the side yard. Time to dust off the wellies…. As a kid in TX, I used to enjoy sitting snug in my house while listening for thunder, watching lightening shows beyond the window and counting the seconds between flashes and booms to track the passing storm. Since I can’t ship you my basement flood, I‘ll share an October bloom of Basye’s Purple. Carol

Thank you for sharing your blooms, Jeri! The only time I get to see Jesse Hildreth is when you post pics or when I drift over to HMF. Not much in flower here, either. Black Magic, The Prince and Poseidon have a few flowers. A couple of Hermosa’s and Blush Noisette’s blooms just mushed in the rain. Blessed rain, though! Carol

The hundredth of an inch we got last night didn't do much (though it was a remarkable storm, I must say).
