Requesting help for Pothos

last modified: 4 years ago

Hi, I've had this pothos for about two years now, and it's recently started dropping a lot of leaves. The leaves are turning brown from the edges, then the rest of the leaf yellows and it drops off. The ends of the stems where new leaves grow are also blackening, so no new leaf development.

There are little black specks on the brown parts of the leaves as well, but I don't see any insects (no spider mites or thrips as far as I can tell).

The plant is being kept in a sunny area behind a curtain, watered when the soil is dry (usually about once every week or two). I've poked holes into the soil to try and aerate the roots, and I fertilized it with a single stick of white fertilizer some time ago (although the leaf dropping started before fertilizing).

Any suggestions on what this might be? I'm really hoping it's not bacteria or a fungal infestation...
