Summer broke with a bang the other day — literally — with a great crash of thunder and lightning, and rain. Wonderful.

Thanks, all! I admit I’m addicted to blends — and since it‘s started cooling off here, I’m hoping for some interesting variations. More blooms are coming - maybe five days away.

That rain was like a deliverance. Went on for2-3 hours, which is epic here in October.

This is Camille Pissarro, flowers still very small, in a pot. I think next year I’ll put it in the ground.

The end of summer is SUCH a relief! Most definitely my least favourite season. Here in Tuscany we've gotten some rain, and the temperatures have finally gone down-HOORAY!

Bad Bart - yes, I imagine it's a relief to get past the sweltering heat. :)
