Continuous bloomer and scent?

'Mme. Alfred Carriere" has the longest bloom season of any rose in my garden. She's in full bloom from the end of February through c. Thanksgiving. Lovely scent. I never loved this rose until I began feeding it, with granular 20-20-20 after it was of a mature size, now the blooms are fuller.

cl. Lady Hillingdon' is a beautiful rose, especially grown with a purple clematis. It has a rich apricot scent as well as color.

cl. Florence Bower Pink Tea' is another winner. Continuous bloom and a fruity scent.

Of all climbers, any from the Old Garden Tea class will have a longer bloom span, having evergreen foliage and being able to bloom through more months of the year.

Thank you, alot of roses I have never heard of that I will explore. And my plants to grow a purple clematis on it, which is why I am leaning towards the more apricot and white colors.

Did I hear evergreen rose? I didn't know that was such a thing? Although I guess I usually strip some leaves off mine when pruning inate winter.

I know you’re leaning toward white and apricot but my vote would be for Renae. Just an all around wonderful rose-pink, fragrant, healthy and almost thornless.

For an apricot I’d say Bathsheba but she does have thorns.

Polka is monstrously thorny,and for me was quite stiff and hard to train.

I don’t have Renae but have only heard wonderful things here about her. Totally thornless and copious scented blooms is what she is known for. I have Madame Alfred Carriere and she only blooms spring and fall for me. The evergreen roses are basically the more “tropical” ones grown in tropical climates such as the Teas (not Hybrid Teas), Bermuda Roses, Noisettes and Chinas, which are green year round in SoCal. The Hybrid Teas will also be green most of the year but the leaves definitely have this point in the winter when they all get gold/brown and then fall off together before the new Spring leaves form. The Teas especially, in my garden, get new leaves and blooms all year round only pausing when temperatures are regularly above 90. I suspect that these warm adapted roses would not be evergreen in zone 8 and I think they die in zone 6 and colder.
