Alternative to bamboo plant stakes

I need 11 or 12 bamboo stakes that are at least 6' long for an indoor plant. I much prefer bamboo so it will blend in with the plant, but all that I really care about is that it's brown or black.


The cheapest I'm finding on Amazon is 25 for $32:

That's more than twice as many as I need, but it's all I can find :-( And I hope that I'll only need them for 6-7 months, after which time I can prune the plant and put it outside for the summer.


I browsed the perimeter of my woods looking for clean sticks, but all I could find in the 6' range were WAY too thick! Plus there's the risk of bringing in bugs, so that's not ideal at all.


So before I order these for $32, can you guys and gals suggest any cheap alternatives?
