I'm planning a major remodel. Taking down the wall between dining and kitchen, kitchen total gut with an island that runs along the back of the house, widen the opening into den which has a 80s brick fireplace with huge hearth. I'm going for a modern farmhouse look. The first picture is my inspiration. I'll have brick on walls going into office room from dining where there will be a barn door.

Well I just came across the second picture and love the half painted and half wallpaper wall. My ceilings are however low: about 10'. My initial thought was put this on dining wall opposite end of house from fireplace in Den. About 45' end to end. was thinking if
1- it's too much with the brick on one side and this happenning too. I want a warm farm house but still clean
2-how can this work with low ceilings?
