I am in North SF Bay area, zone 9b and on water rationing. (It is raining today, Alleluia!)

I have several Pink Champaign and none of them gave me a second bloom. I also have crispy leaves.

My Daniel Deronda and Samaritan Joe were the only vines that gave a fairly good second bloom. I have about 30 varieties. I hope they do better next spring.

It is always droughty here in summer and this one was very dry. We also had an early and extreme heat wave. All my clems did fine, considering almost all of them are grown in containers and get hand watered regularly. I intend to plant a few of the bigger ones in what little real estate I have available, as they have clearly outgrown the root space available in even a large container.

The only one that is still blooming now (second half of October) is florida 'Sieboldii, although pending buds are getting smaller and smaller :-)

After a wet early summer the rest of it was very dry. I watered a lot. Here are the best ones so far: Mine are mostly pretty young plants.

Omoshiro bloomed on and off most of the summer...good vigor

Emilia Plater no blooms yet, good vigor

Polish Spirit no blooms yet, vigorous

Rooguchi bloomed all summer

Rhapsody bloomed a lot

Venosa Violacea

Mrs. Cholmondeley.....very pretty, much more lavender than expected, grew well

I have a lot of others in gallon pots ...too early to comment.

Kiri te Kanawa also did well in a med. size pot. I think it's bluer than the picture.

I planted Henryi in semi shade and that area dried out a lot. I am really pleased with how it hung in there and didn't quit. It didn't bloom I think but it is trying to make it in a tough spot.

Arabella was good but kind of rangy.
