Monochromatic Exterior Paint Ideas

We are embarking on a full home renovation and I am leaning towards doing a contemporary monochromatic exterior look on a historical house (it's a 100 year old dutch colonial). My inspiration is in the attached photos. It's a huge decision. I'm looking for other photos, thoughts, on doing the monochromatic look (body, trim, shutters all one color). I don't want black and don't want to go too dark either. My back up plan is just white. Has anyone made this type of decision? Have you been happy with the outcome? A cedar roof is not in the budget so we have to take that into consideration as well.

You have a monochromatic scheme now what are you asking? Or do we have a pic of your house or only the inspos.

Those are all inspiration photos. The first is actually Martha Stewart's house. It is not white, but an off-white. It's actually darker than how it appears in the picture.

Thank you for the photos. All are lovely. All appear to have cedar shake roofs which make the monochromatic look even lovelier. Just wondering if it will still be as lovely with an asphalt roof. Attached is a photo of our home (not a great one, sorry). After the reno, the front will have 4 windows up top, instead of 2. The 2 windows on the lower level will remain but will have more modern shutters. The front entry will no longer have posts, just brackets and will have a higher peak than what is pictured. We cannot do much with the entry size because it is non-conforming. The roof will be asphalt in a color that will work best with the body color and definitely not green.

I know this is an old post, but I am in the exact same boat but building a new home that I want a monochromatic look for it to look like an old Home cottage style. What color exterior paint did you decide on and roofing colors?
