My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

What’s under your needle?

I’ve been working on this project since January. Original pattern was for cotton, but I decided to go with wool felt on wholecloth linen. I’ve learned alot of new embroidery stitches over the past 9 months and have throughly enjoyed making this first ever quilt my own.


What are you working on?

    That's great!

    My daughter and her wife had twins a year ago, and their theme for the babies' room was National Parks (which I thought was weird at first, but turned out great!)

    I spent months on Yogi and BooBoo in a canoe and also the National Parks emblem. (Sorry, I don't have this app on my phone, so I don't know how to share pics)

    Now, a year later, our other daughter is pregnant, but arthritis in my sewing hand has flared up!

    I'm not sure I'll be able to do the months long embroidery projects that I'm used to! I may have to do more of a quilting type project (and possibly with a machine!)

    I will give it a go either way!
