I'm not a fan of sprays...yes, they work, maybe for a day or two and then the odor comes right back. I understand, as my nose works overtime, as well.

I'd start simple first. Give the chair a good vacuum. To address the white vinegar/water idea, why not soak a clean white towel in the solution, but wring it almost dry and wipe over the fabric. Place it out in the sun for a few hours and turn it...make sure the sun hits the under part of chair, too. If you have a screened in area, let it sit out there for a few days after it's sun bath. If you have a dehumidifier, put the chair near it. If the cushion is loose, tuck under some dryer cloths, tuck some into the crevices.

Another thought...after all reasonable attempts fail, I would try the open box of baking soda refrigerator solution...don't sprinkle it, but put it in a edged plates and throw some clean towels over the chair to make a tight tent. That worked for me last week when I forgot to put my car into the garage and it rained. I closed all the windows and put the soda in plates all on the rugs and then covered each section with towels as best I could.
