Fireplaces Design Dilemma

Fireplace Help is needed

Hello need ideas on what to use as decor on sides of fireplace. I’m thinking tall vases? I just set it up today.

How about a tall indoor plant like a mother-in-law tongue:

(but not necessarily this MCM plant stand, as it doesn't seem to coordinate with your style)
