You could use a knob backplate to cover the ring. Check to see if the manufacturer has something in your finish.

Some manufacturers call these knob rosettes.

I agree with shugee. You will find knob rosettes easily. Find the ones that match your knobs which your manufacturer will most probably have.

I hear you. I apologize if my post offended you in any way. It's just my personal taste that I find those round knobs unattractive. Builder's upgrade options weren't any better.

I wan’t at all offended. It’s just that I find your original knobs more appealing…functionally, and esthetically.

I moved away from knobs, after living with them for 35 years in my former home. When we gutted the kitchen in the new home, I went for all pulls…on uppers and lowers. Pulls are more ergonomic, and do a much better job of keeping fingers off the drawers and doors.

Tellurium, using a rosette with a knob will elevate the look. There are backplates for pulls, too. It's a lovely pairing that adds dimension to cabinet hardware.

I have a knob with a backplate on the single center drawer of my table desk. This one knob looks substantial and beautiful from its base to its top, from any viewing angle. The rosette took a simple knob and made it a standout.
