I think you need to show us where you are putting it first. I would not add legs at all.

Personally, I would add short stalky feet. I prefer less bulky credenzas, and adding legs is an easy way to "lighten" the feel. The trick is to make sure the proportions of the feet complement the proportions of the credenza.
