Could be a young Strelitzia nicolai. Hard to tell, as many monocots look alike at an early age. How old is it? And what did the seed look like? Did it have an orange tuft on it?

Ditto! ^^ It's looking an awful lot like bird of paradise to me.. but, yeah.. it's hard to tell this early. I've seen shampoo ginger and Spanish lillies look just like this when they were young, too.. I guess time will tell! :)

Hi, thank you so much for both of your replies. It has been growing for about 6-7 months so far so still fairly young. Im not too sure on what the seed looked like as there was various looking seeds inside the bag.

I will do some research into all of the suggestions made to find out the best care for it. I look forward to seeing my mystery plant grow :D
