I would get a larger rug. Get one with colors from the art. One t hat goes 1/3 under the sofa and about 6" from the TV console. That way you will be walking on it going to the bedroom/office. Why is the office in the dining area if you have an office? Put some yellow & red pieces on the shelves. Get a smaller occasional chair and place it close to the corner of the TV console so you can walk straight through to the door. Put the wishbone chairs in the dining area. Get a throw: blue, yellow, orange whatever color you like from the art

Place the chair (that replaces the slipper chair) at a right angle to the sofa, i.e. squarely facing the coffee table with back to dining. Put the rug that's in the living area under the new dining table and get a wider rug to define the living area. Remove the dining chairs from living area. Maybe put a wide upholstered bench between the coffee table and the television. I think the TV's a little high. Could the cabinet go on the far wall of the dining area and be replaced with a lower entertainment center?
