November 2021 in my hosta garden
My zone has a long growing season, late February/early March to late November/early December for Hosta. I debated on the risks/benefits of posting my garden photos for November, and obviously decided that benefits outweigh the risks. January 2015 after I dislocated my hip while side-stepping to set the table, I had to rehabilitate my injury. The exercise/therapy studio was across the street from the local arboretum. I walked the arboretum every day that I could, walking farther and longer every day. I discovered that a garden could provide flowers, hope, and inspiration every day of the year. For my garden, hostas dominate the scene for at least 8 months of the year. Camellia and hellebore carry the cold months.
I hope that my garden photos provide you joy on cold days, and hope for Spring 2022.

The hostas will fade by the end of this month. We had some nights in the 30's last week, but nights are supposed to be in the 50's for next 1-2 weeks. The camellias look promising this year.

Tonight will be the first freezing night. That means that today will be the last day for my hostas. Many have already changed to autumn colors, as seen in Afterglow the other day. I almost did not go outside this morning, as it saddens me to see them go. I know they will be back in a few months, better than ever.
Today, the color of my happiness is magenta! Camellia Hiryu saves the day!
