Hi all, I recently had my gas fireplace cleaned/serviced. (It's a Heat-n-Glo, with Intermittent Pilot Ignition, Model 6000TR-OAK-IPI.) Since then, it takes a very long time for the flames to ignite (15-20 seconds each time, even if I use it every day), and the flames burn very blue for a long time before turning yellow/orange. (I didn't have either of these issues with the fireplace last winter.) I contacted the business who performed the service. They seem to agree there is a problem, but they said they will not stand behind their work -- they will charge me if I want them to diagnose the problem (and they're booked until January anyway). I can't afford to pay for this service again with another repair company. Can anyone give me some tips to maybe diagnose it myself? I'm not mechanically inclined, but I can follow instructions if they are detailed. Also, should I be worried that there is a safety issue with continuing to use the fireplace as it is?
